1. What is his or her experience? Are they in their prime or decline? 2. Who trained them and how? Trial & error education can lead to bad habits! 3. During a consultation, are you being told only what you want to hear? 4. What is the marketing budget of your agent? An agent that can not tell you his/her marketing budget usually has less of a plan than a budget. 5. Three main duties an agent performs are Marketing, Negotiations, & Transaction coordination. How will your agent perform these tasks? 6. Is the agents goal you are interviewing to put a sign in your yard and attract buyers for something else for a nominal fee, or to meet your needs? 7. Ask how your home will be found on the internet and then what? 8. Price and value are not equal! Does the agent provide value for service? 9. The Realtor makes a statement that gives you the impression that they control all the Buyers, and other companies do not matter. Is this true? NO! 10. The agent tells you he/she can sell your home without putting it on the market. Whose interests are really being served in this scenario? 11. Ask yourself whether the agent you just interviewed is running a business and is he/she qualified to handle one of the largest transactions of your life!
