Last year my wife and I decided the time had come for us to purchase our first house. We went and saw a house with an agent who put quite a great deal of pressure on us to buy the first place we saw. That was our first home-buying experience and it made us quite shy about wanting to work with another realtor. Instead, we made the decision to go to different open houses.
I am glad we made that decision. At one of the open houses, we had the great privilege of meeting Lisa Purselley, who was trying to sell a house in one of the neighborhoods we liked. Though we decided not to buy that specific house, we loved Lisa's candor and personality and chose to work with her moving forward.
Throughout the process, Lisa was amazingly helpful. She gave us the hand-holding we needed as part of our first-time home-buying experience while always allowing us to be in control and never pressuring us. She patiently set up numerous opportunities for us to see the dozens of houses we had targeted from online searches and walked us through the pros and cons of the different houses. Our work schedules forced us to look for homes during some odd hours -- which Lisa graciously accommodated.
It was Lisa's recommendation for us to look at the house with which we ultimately fell in love. She helped us formulate a first proposal that worked within our budget and was accepted. We have now been in our house for one year and are very grateful for everything Lisa did for us. We now have two puppies and recently hosted our first Christmas. To our surprise, the day my parents were coming to town, Lisa came by to drop off some wonderful thank-you gifts. That, in a nutshell, perfectly summarized who Lisa is: A tireless worker who will bend over backwards to help the people she represents -- and then go far above and beyond.
My wife and I give Lisa our strongest recommendation. When we ultimately sell our house, we will not think of listing with anyone else. I highly recommend using Stacia Burnham when purchasing a home. I've worked with real estate agents in the past and thought they were all pretty good. That is until I met Stacia. She performs at a level to where you can actually see the difference between "pretty good" and "AMAZING"!!! She is truly a master of her craft and I would describe her as the Texas Hammer of real estate. I'll give you an example. The seller of this last house really wanted to keep their Mineral Rights (for good reason) and I signed the paper because I really wanted the house. I later felt bad about that and thought that if I buy a house, I want everything that should come with it. When I work in the yard, that should be my dirt. So I called and asked Stacia "to fight for me a little bit" and get those Mineral Rights. She said "No problem honey, I'll call you here in a little bit". Three hours later she was faxing me a signed amendment from the seller that the Mineral Rights were to be mine! I don't know what she said, but I'm glad she was on my side. I didn't pay extra or anything. She also made me feel like I was her only client. She always remembered everything, very easy to get in contact with, never cut me short on a conversation, and her resources were scary good. On her emails and voicemail she always has "working with you to achieve your dreams". I didn't know her that well at first and thought it was kinda cheezy.
